Pandemic Journaling Project (PJP) is a combined journaling platform and longitudinal mixed-methods research study that aims to archive shifting COVID-19 narratives and experiences from people around the world. During my time with PJP, I programmed and distributed surveys through the Qualtrics Platform which prompted research participants to write journals describing their present feelings and thoughts. I also managed data merging using R to consolidate all the digital journal entries, including journals expressed through images, audio, and videos, to help the team create a large public-facing data repository. I worked with a team of anthropology professors, postdocs, and research assistants.

Consultant by contract, 2021-2022

ReD Associates

I served as the primary China market consumer-experience (CX) consultant for ReD Associates, a Danish boutique consulting firm specializing in human-centered research for business challenges. Across three consumer research projects in different sectors, I utilized a variety of research tools, primarily in-depth interviews and focus groups, to empathize with research participants' life aspirations, social identities, and identify their dissatisfaction or pain points with current products. I effectively communicated consumer stories in cross-market consultant team meetings and client-facing presentations. Below are detailed illustrations of the projects.

Focus Group Researcher, Summer 2022

Global Brown Center, Brown University

I worked with Global Brown Center (GBC) as a summer researcher to identify points of improvement for the international student program and services provided by GBC on campus. In this project, I worked with program director and staff members to design focus group researches to be conducted with international undergraduate communities on campus. In this position, I worked extensively with program stakeholders to understand their major concerns and delivered research questions, working hypotheses, focus group questions, and operation guidelines.
